Fireplace before - green marble that while looks ok, does not go with anything we currently own.
So I, being the genius that I am ;) tried to think of the cheapest and most natural looking alternative to change it.
Out came the black contact paper and I got to work.
I did research online and felt the heat prior to doing this and it does not get hot at all since the marble is underneath so it will not catch fire.
Voila! Looks natural and I am very proud of myself.
Next up - painting the living room walls
